HOW TO ENTER To participate in the awards, all you have to do is to crack a print campaign that can make a difference to the lives of the aged based on the brief given below.
WHAT'S THE BRIEF Most people just think of old age homes when one talks of caring for senior citizens. We want to break this fallacious impression and want people to think more in terms of caring for the elderly by providing them companionship, avenues for fun, enriching their lives, nursing them back to health and treating them with dignity. Dignity Foundation runs a number of programs that does precisely this. Ranging from running an abuse prevention helpline service, ration services for the poor, dementia day care centers, loneliness mitigation centers, placement services to kick start second career, counselling on financial matters, aid in getting Senior Citizen ID, computer skill enhancement, useful info on call, to running chai masti centers for networking with fellow senior citizens. So gifting a Dignity membership to an elderly person you know or volunteering to help us help elders is the simplest way to achieve the goal of ensuring care and love. The task therefore is to create a print campaign that will move the Average Joe into giving the elderly, the life they truly deserve.
WHO CAN ENTER Any creative team in any ad agency can enter any number of campaigns for the awards. The only catch is at least one member of your team must be under 30. A team needn't mean one copywriter and one art director. It could also have a visualiser/illustrator/junior writer/photographer/creative director. Just make sure you give due credit to the art director and copywriter on the job.
WHAT ARE THE AWARDS AT STAKE - Top 50 campaigns will be showcased in a special edition book brought out by Dignity Foundation & Campaign India. - 'Best Campaign' will be bestowed a Dignity Award by Dignity Foundation & Campaign India. - 'Best Copywriter' will be bestowed a Dignity Award by Dignity Foundation & Campaign India. - 'Best Art Director' will be bestowed a Dignity Award by Dignity Foundation & Campaign India. - 'Best Creative Team' will be bestowed a Dignity Award by Dignity Foundation & Campaign India.
WHAT CONSTITUTES A CAMPAIGN It all depends on the campaign idea. If the idea is obviously extendable, you could even submit just one ad as the campaign. Else it could be two, three or any number you deem fit to demonstrate the power of your thought.
WHEN'S THE DEADLINE You have 15 days to crack the print campaign. Last date for submission of entries is Feb 6, 2014.
WHAT FORMAT, WHAT SIZE, WHAT LANGUAGE Entries can be submitted digitally in PDF format. The size of the ads can be magazine full page (the equivalent of newspaper quarter page). Just make sure that the file size is not more than 3 MB, as far as possible. The language can be English, Hindi or Hinglish. Credits need to be provided for the ART DIRECTOR, COPYWRITER, CREATIVE TEAM & AD AGENCY involved.
WHAT ABOUT ENTRY FEE & CAMPAIGN RIGHTS There'll be no entry fee. All submitted campaigns for the award show will become the property of Dignity Foundation.
